Travel Dairies: Phuket, Thailand

Thailand has been all the rage for a little while now and I just had to see what it was all about… This year April I was lucky enough to head to Asia, not the whole of Asia but a little part of it. We met family in Singapore first and then headed to Thailand.

Thailand is such a beautiful place, so rich in culture but its is also very poor country. It can be a little bit of a shock at first, the streets are dirty and smelly. There are wires and cables EVERYWHERE, but it has some of the most friendliest people I have ever met. It is a total must visit destination.

Thailand is the perfect budget holiday, its magical beaches and resorts all for a comfortable price. (The exchange rate also helps)

Below I have done a round up of my fave photos, there are just to many to post…. :)

My top tips for when visiting Thailand:

– Have a massage EVERY day (We sometimes had two, morning and night, it’s that affordable)

– Maybe I am crazy about Thai cuisine but try ALL the food, off the street, in restaurants, free food or bought. Try it all.

– Visit during the Thai New year, Songkran. It was such a fun experience! (Sadly I do not have any photos of that day, it is advised you dont take anything that cant get wet out on to the streets…)

– Do your research before selecting your desired day trip (ie: a day trip to Phi Phi or James Bond Island), you pay for what you get so I do recommend the slightly more expensive trips but at the same time do not get ripped off.
